The Promotion Committee is responsible for creating a positive image of the Downtown through advertising, retail promotional activities, special events, and a marketing campaign carried out by local volunteers.

A Mother’s Day Weekend Flower Crawl

Build a Flower Bouquet and Shop Your Favorite Downtown Shops!

Spend the afternoon visiting a variety of Locally Owned Businesses as you Build-A-Bouquet with the Downtown Kennewick Flower Crawl.

Participating Flower Stop Businesses will have beautiful Flowers, Greenery, and/or Bouquet Accessories to add to your vibrant floral bundle as you journey to complete your exquisite bouquet.

Each ticket includes 1 wristband, 1 chipboard carrier,1 flower stop map of participating Businesses.

Day Of:
On the day of the Flower Bouquet Shop Crawl, participants can look forward to an engaging and delightful experience. Here's what you can expect:​

Check-In and Welcome: Begin your journey by checking in at the designated starting point, where you'll receive a warm welcome. Here, you'll collect any materials or information needed for the day's activities.​

Check-in starts at 12 pm and ends at 4 pm. You have until 5 pm to collect all your flower stems!

Participants will begin their Flower Crawl journey with First Flower, Greenery, and essentials such as Event Wristband, Flower Carrier, and Flower Stop Map.

Guided Visits to Participating Shops: Throughout the day, you'll visit a curated selection of downtown Kennewick shops, each featuring a selected bloom for your bouquet.

Hands-On Bouquet Assembly: As you collect flowers from each shop, you'll gradually assemble a personalized bouquet.

Event Conclusion: After visiting all the participating shops and completing your bouquet, the event will conclude at the check-in location for final looks. Here, Southridge High School Floral Design students will help add more greenery or filler to your bouquet and top it off with a ribbon, flower food to keep your flowers looking beautiful longer, and a care-at-home card.
The event ends at 5 pm. The final location's "Last Look" station will close at 5:30 pm.

A Kennewick Art Fair at Charles Francis Studios

This month’s Art Hop is a curated event by Charles Francis Studio.

They’ve come up with a cool way to showcase art on a monthly basis, with a “Kennewick Art Fair.” This is a time to see, be seen, and buy local art from a large group of creatives, all at once. This series runs April through November, the first Saturday of each month. Make a day of it, sample some wine from @4whistleswinery next door, and try some food from one of the vendors.

As part of a Nationally Certified Main Street Community, your business can designate its Business & Occupation (B&O) or Public Utility tax (PUT) to be spent directly on Downtown Kennewick.

To receive the tax credit through Washington State’s Main Street Tax Credit Incentive Program, you apply to give the Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership, a 501(c)3, a donation through Washington State.

The first open participation period is January - March.

Once the request is approved by the Department of Revenue, you are eligible to claim a tax credit worth 75% of the contribution (up to your total tax liability) the following year. Your donation must be received by HDKP November 3rd, and can be paid in installments. Any pledges made after November 16th (when possible) must be paid immediately before December 31st.

This is a great opportunity to allocate your tax dollars directly to your community!
